Our team's game topic is mostly putting an end to homelessness. We really are trying to express how important of a topic this is in America. We really hope to communicate to the player that anyone can become homeless and anyone can help solve it.
For imagining our game we all had very different ideas of how we would design our game. Some of us wanted a puzzle game, others an action. But, we came to an agreement eventually. We decided we would put 3 different idea's of ours into 3 different levels and put it in an order that allows the player to really get into to it like, she/he are actually homeless.
Well, picking roles for our team was easy. I think, it's mostly because we're so diverse. One person on my team can draw really well and is super creative. Another person is really laid back and stays on topic so he decided to be the programmer. Another member on our team is new to flash so he decided on writer. The last person on our team is organized so, she's the producer. We all work together very well and try to help each other out.
Research on our team was a bit of a challenge mostly because it's hard to find reliable sources, however; we found good sources and our teacher taught us how to scan through the bad and good ones.
I think the only thing for our game that could be offending is the fact that we have many diverse homeless people meaning they're all different races but, people may think there's more of one race in our game than another. We plan on trying to put different ethnicity's of everyone though.
Well, there's a lot of actions in our game. There is 3 different levels that represent the phases of overcoming homelessness. I think, the only obstacle in Flash is that the last level of our game will either be too hard or too easy. It's hard trying to find a middle in it.

Imagine Team Game
- WHO are you designing your game for? We are designing our game for people ages 7-50. The certain type of people we are targeting are people who want to make a change in the world and want to help others.
- WHAT will your game teach the player about your topic? The game will teach the player what its really like to be homeless and how it's a constant battle every day for them. We plan on teaching them how they have to worry about everything and how easy it is to help another person. We also plan on teaching them how it's important to have hope and faith in yourself with everything you do in life.
- If you are making a social issue game, how will you show multiple perspectives? We will show how people may help him or how some others may ignore him and walk away. We plan to show how the people that ignore him aren't necessarily bad people they just don't realize what a huge issue there is.
- WHERE does your game happen? Our game happens in a big city. On the roads and on the sidewalks.
- HOW does your game world teach the player about your topic? It teaches them even a place with a lot of people that don't help will only increase the problem.

Game Topic
Well, our game topic is homelessness. This is a serious matter in America. Reasons for homelessness vary however, we hope to spread awareness and help people realize how easy it is to help. When people see others in need, we most likely ignore it. We think it's impossible to help these people but, the truth is that we dont even have to give them money to help!

Our group's main focus is on helping homelessness. We hope to spread awareness and help certain charities by doing this. So far, our charities interests are the following:

Spirit of the Marathon.
This week we've been watching a movie about running but, I haven't been here so I only saw the end. Well it basically talked about 6 different people who were going to run in the Chicago marathon on 2005. So, if you didn't know a marathon is a long distance running event of 26 miles 385 yards that is usually ran as a road race. Most people run them because once their finished they all have a sense of accomplishment and they feel they can do more because they completed it. I didn't know much about the movie but, out of all the stories i thought the elderly man was the most interesting. I think so because he's 70 years old and i'm 13 and probably can't finish 26 miles & 385 yards! I also thought it was sweet because he ran with his daughter. I think it's cool because the people found inspiration within themselves to finish this long distance. I didn't see much of the movie but the last part was inspiring because all these different people ran a marathon and a lot of them were tired which is perfectly understandable but, still its amazing how people ran 26 miles and 385 yards. I also thought it was kind of exaggerated how they were crying at first but, then I found out how long a marathon was! Well some goals i'd like to accomplish for myself is graduating college but before that getting into LASA high school. To accomplish that goal I know I'll have to get good grades and be a more talkative, social able person. I'd also like to get straight A's which i'm pretty sure will be easy but, I have to try. "It's a marathon, not a sprint?" is a quote that I have to write about so I think it means that well i'm not sure but I wrote a lot of a move I saw about 15 minutes of so, BYE :D

Reflection . (Thursday's)
Well, this year in Globaloria I have learned many things & something that really helps is that we have an upgraded version of Flash and they have new tools that help with drawing & making animations. I think one of the biggest things I have learned this year is how to make a platform game and its a lot less complicated than it seems . They also have this pattern tool that draws things like fire or flowers. It's pretty cool ! This year my partner taught me a lot about how to trace things and its pretty easy now. I have also learned how to animate things and surprisingly it's easy. Another thing I have got better at since last year is solving problems on my own, for example I can look over my code faster & find mistakes quicker which is mostly just from experience because the code basically makes it work and if it's not right than your whole game will mess up . I also researched a lot about dropping out and I found out a lot ! Like every 26 seconds a kid drops out which is sad because that kid will more than likely be Hispanic or African American. I also learned many reasons why kids drop out but, I've sort of already knew them but I needed more to write. Another good thing I have gotten out of this years Globaloria class it that looking over the codes has made me more patient because it really does make you feel good if your game works well ! I have also gotten a lot better with technology because before I had a hard time just trying to get on the Internet. Through out the whole year I think the hardest thing was just trying to make my game work and not getting distracted which I think I did really good one this year. So BYE :D &and if the game doesn't work click here.
