what are you reading 1

I'm reading this book called Freedom Writers Diary and these bad kids have a lot of problems. Some have got raped or abused. One girl even said that her moms boyfriend locked her in a trunk for 3days and her finally managed to get her out. Another guy said he saw his best friend get shot by a rival gang. I also found out that one girl was brave enough to try to stop her dad from hitting her mom and almost died. This book is based off of a true story so all these things really happened.=(
